Ruby Fish and Tortoiseshell Fish by Louisa Anne Meredith
Louisa Anne Meredith sailed from England to Australia with her husband, George, in 1839. They settled on Tasmania’s east coast. This image appears in her book Tasmanian Friends and Foes, published in 1880. Throughout her life, Meredith produced numerous illustrations and descriptions of Tasmanian flora and fauna.
