The Tasmanian Archive and Heritage Office (TAHO) is the new service for managing the archival and heritage collections for Tasmania.

The TAHO collection draws together Tasmanian books, periodicals, newspapers and government publications; manuscripts, government records, photographs, maps and plans with audio, video and film and more at the one location. View our floorplan [JPG Image 672KB].

Due to its nature of settlement Van Diemen's Land (now Tasmania) has extensive state records. These records detail the lives of those who lived here with previously unheard of detail, presenting a rich resource for researchers and for family historians.
