Under the Libraries Act (1984), three Boards and Committees have been established to advise us on the delivery of library services and to oversee the management of gifts and bequests. These are:
The Tasmanian Library Advisory Board provides advice to the Minister on matters including the delivery of library services and the provision of information services.
This Allport Library and Museum of Fine Arts Management Committee administers the funds and property bequeathed to the State Library under the provisions of Henry Allport’s will.
The State Library and Archives Trust manages funds that have been provided to us by gift or bequest. It also ensures compliance with the conditions attached to the management of these funds.
