| 50+ is the State Library’s action plan that describes commitments that the State Library has made to older clients and the actions being taken to meet those commitments. Research reveals that by 2019 Tasmania will have the oldest population in Australia. Currently, over 30% of the State Library’s clients are aged 50 years of age or older. |

During the next few years, the growing population of older Tasmanians will require a range of high-quality and diverse services to cater for their information and access needs.
