The State Library of Tasmania provides access to a rich and diverse range of items for loan including books, videos, DVDs, CDs, CD-ROMs and magazines. We have new releases, best sellers, biographies, sumptuous coffee table books, DIY manuals, travel guides plus the latest on current affairs, science, international relations and social and cultural issues. Our Lending Collections Policy details the principles for how we develop the statewide lending collection.

The State Library provides Reading Suggestions to help you find the type of novel you want. If we don’t have an item you want or information on a specific subject, we will arrange a loan from another library or purchase available material on request where possible.
