Artist Statement: Alice in Wonderland has long been the catalyst for intense speculation by scholars, the media and countless armchair experts. Questions have focused upon the idea-sources for the story, the personality and sexual orientation of Dodgson himself and, in particular, the nature of his relationship with the young Alice Liddell.
