Artist Statement: The garden provides creative inspiration and is where Alice came upon the tea table. Here, the ‘monstera’ climb up the tablecloth and onto the tabletop, appearing as stitched - the lilies each have their own shadow. Eternal cups of tea rattle - around and around - Alice’s head spinning with confusion - the spoons serving cakes? The Mad Hatter sports a spotted kerchief - enough to set any tea party chatting. |
