Artist Statement: Alice, snuggled up in uterine environs, tires of the constriction - is restless. Rabbit-ear forceps wrap around her little head - slowly, slowly she’s wrenched into the world. Emerging into wonderland - everything strange and peculiar. Whilst dreaming of all that awaits her... nestling warm and rosy-pink she hears - “Drink this and you will grow ...” |

Biography: A sculptor from Melbourne, Hutchinson’s work reflects interests in anatomy, physiology, psychology, consumerism and eroticism. Numerous solo and group exhibitions, public/private collections and awarded an Australia Council residency in Tokyo, 2000 - currently represented by Sutton Gallery, Melbourne. |
