| Transplanted to Tasmania: Botanical Art and Attitude is a new exhibition that brings together the wonder of the science of botany with the beauty of the art of botanical illustration. On display are rare and exquisite prints and drawings from the collections of the Allport Library and Museum of Fine Arts. The artists featured include Tasmanian artist, poet and novelist Louisa Anne Meredith; William Buelow Gould; members of the Allport family; and Sydney Parkinson, the artist of Captain Cook's first expedition. |
