Image of Mount Wellington in snow from Fitzroy Crescent
Mount Wellington in snow from Fitzroy Crescent
Taken around 1873, this photo is from an album of one hundred and forty-four Tasmanian scenes attributed to Samuel Clifford. It captures Mount Wellington / Kunanyi blanketed in heavy snow, with several of South Hobart’s stately manors in the foreground. Other images in the album showcase locations including Melton Mowbray, Neika, and the hop fields of New Norfolk.
