Database Access Problems
Unable to access one of the State Library's online databases?
Work through the following checklist :
Is the database available from home?
Most of our databases are available from home, exceptions are AustLit, Australian Standards On-line Premium and Ancestry Library Edition. These databases appear throughout our website and catalogue with with an

icon to indicate limited access. Clicking on the
![[More detail]](http://www.statelibrary.tas.gov.au/__data/assets/image/0003/208956/moreinfo.gif)
icon next to a database title will give more information about where the database is available.
Has your Librarycard expired?
If you haven't used your library card recently it may have expired. Check it's currency with your
local library.
Are you using the correct phone number or password?
This is the phone number that you gave us when you joined the library. If you are not sure what number to use, check with your
local library. Enter the number without the 03 prefix and without spaces.
Librarycard current, phone number correct but still unable to access the database?
Try clearing your web browser's cache. Instructions on how to do this can be found at
