Email and telephone messages are now the State Library's preferred method of letting you know that your reserved items are awaiting collection.
There are now three ways the State Library can contact you:
* Please Note: Postal notification will be sent only if you specifically
request this service, or if we are unable to contact you by email or
telemessage.
If you do not want to receive telephone notification and don't have an
email address, please ask staff to amend your records to reflect this.
To register for this service:
OR
| Register on-line using the "Message to staff" button in your patron record in the TALIS catalogue. |
Note:
If you are under 18 your holds notices will continue to be sent to your
guarantor. Families wishing to use a child's email address may do so, provided the
guarantor's signature is obtained.
Email notification will provide you with information as soon as your hold is
available for collection - no more waiting for the mail to be delivered.
Once you have registered for email delivery, you will no longer receive postal advice.
Any holds notifications that are not sent by email, will be delivered by automatic telephone call to the
phone number in your patron record, between 6 and 9 pm, Monday to Friday.
If the phone is not answered, a postal notice will be generated the next day.
