The fine for each item borrowed and retained past the due date of return is $1.00 for every week or part of a week that the item is retained beyond that period. A person is not required to pay a fine exceeding $5.00 in respect of any one book.

Customers who are invoiced for long overdue items will be charged an administrative fee of $1.10 when the overdue item(s) are returned.

Persons under the age of 18 years are exempted from overdue fines but not the administrative fee.
