To minimise potential exposure to web content that is inappropriate for display in a public place, filtering software operates in all of Tasmania’s public libraries and online access centres.
It is possible that a website can be wrongly classified. If you would like SmartFilter to consider re-classification of a website you have encountered as filtered, please complete this form, and it will be submitted to SmartFilter on your behalf.
Re-classification will occur in approximately 48 hours, if SmartFilter agrees with the request. SmartFilter will not change the classification if they judge the original classification is correct. SmartFilter does not report back on changes in classification, and clients are advised to re-visit the website after 48 hours to check the classification status.
