  • Baby Book Packs: Babies Who Read, Succeed!
  • Baby Book Packs are part of the State Library’s Babies Who Read, Succeed program and are designed to introduce parents to books suitable for three different age groups

  • Be Inspired
  • Be Inspired is designed to help you discover the huge range of things you can borrow from the Library. Each month there’s a new theme to introduce you to authors and topics that you may never before have considered

  • Modern Sequels
  • A select list of recent fiction that includes sequels to both old and modern classics. These titles also represent recent fiction that derives plot and/or character details from previously published works.

  • New Arrivals
  • A selection from the hundreds of items added to the lending and reference collections of the State Library every month

  • Novel Approach
  • Booklists by genre

  • Purchase Suggestion
  • Send us a suggestion for purchase if you find interesting titles that you think should be added to our collections.

  • Readalike
  • Readalikes are suggestions for readers who enjoy the work of a particular author and who would like to read other works written in a similar style and/or genre.

  • A list of resources for parents and carers

  • Tasmania's Favourite Reads
  • More than 6000 nominations were received during the State Library's search for Tasmania’s Favourite Reads. After a lengthy sorting process, the nominations have been consolidated into a list of 2500 titles.
