Reproduction Fees |

The State Library of Tasmania reserves the right to charge fees for the commercial use of rare or original items in its Heritage Collections. These fees are charged by the State Library by virtue of its ownership of these items. They are not copyright fees (and the Library does not normally own or control the copyright in items in its collections). Responsibility remains with the intending publisher to secure any necessary copyright clearances. The following standard fees are charged by the Library (They include GST)
The Library is prepared to negotiate with any publisher who considers that payment of the standard fees will result in their publication becoming commercially unviable. It may be possible to settle upon alternative means of recompensing the Library for the use of its rare or original material - for example, by the gift to the Library of an agreed number of copies of the publication. All enquiries about reproduction of rare or original items in the Heritage Collections should be addressed to the Senior Librarian (Heritage Collections), either by e-mail to Heritage.Collections@education.tas.gov.au or by post to: State Library of Tasmania |
