Under the Libraries Act 1984, three Boards and Committees have been established with specific functions vested in them to advise on certain aspects associated with the delivery of library services, and to administer the management of gifts and bequests.
The Committee administers the funds and property bequeathed to the State under the provisions of the will of Henry Allport.
The Trust administers specific funds which have been provided to the State Library by gift or bequest and ensures compliance with the conditions attached to the management of these funds.
The Board consists of community members and representatives of Local Government and provides advice to the Minister, including advice on the delivery of library services and the provision of information services.
